Re: Dispute of inaccurate information, Midland account ending 4471
I am writing under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681i, to dispute information I believe is incomplete or inaccurate.
1. No date of first delinquency is reported (Metro 2 field: Date of First Delinquency), so the reporting period under § 1681c(c) cannot be checked.
2. The balance differs between bureaus: Equifax $980, TransUnion $1,240. See §§ 1681e(b) and 1681s-2(a).
Please investigate within 30 days and send me the results in writing.
Your letter is written for you.It names the exact account and problem and cites the FCRA, Metro 2 and FDCPA rules that may apply, using only your facts.
Nothing is sent unless you approve.
You review and approve. Mail it yourself, or we send it certified for $12.95.CreditIQ AI then tracks every deadline. When the bureaus answer, snap a photo and your progress updates.

Re: Dispute of inaccurate information, Midland account ending 4471
I am writing under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681i, to dispute information on my credit report that I believe is incomplete or inaccurate.
Account: Midland, ending 4471. Collection, balance $1,240.
Possible problems:
1. No date of first delinquency is reported (Metro 2 field: Date of First Delinquency). Without it, the reporting period under FCRA § 605(c), 15 U.S.C. § 1681c(c), cannot be checked.
2. The balance differs between bureaus: Equifax shows $980, TransUnion shows $1,240. Under FCRA § 607(b), 15 U.S.C. § 1681e(b), bureaus must follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy, and under § 623(a)(1), 15 U.S.C. § 1681s-2(a), furnishers must not report information they know or have reason to know is inaccurate.
Under FCRA § 611(a), 15 U.S.C. § 1681i(a), please investigate within 30 days, confirm the date of first delinquency and the correct balance with the furnisher, and correct or delete anything that cannot be verified. Under § 611(a)(6), please send me the results in writing.
If the collector is a debt collector under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I also reserve my rights under 15 U.S.C. § 1692e, which prohibits false or misleading representations about the amount or status of a debt.
Enclosed: copy of my ID, proof of address, and the marked report page.
Sincerely,
[Your name]
